The Institute of Local and Regional Development of the Universidad de La Frontera is an interdisciplinary and plural space for the creation and dissemination of knowledge, academic training and intellectual debate, opening up new opportunities for local and regional development in Chile and Latin America.
It is nationally and internationally positioned and recognized as a Center of Strategic and Territorial Thinking, which generates and transfers knowledge, and builds collaborative networks to contribute to an integral and balanced development.
