A Dietitian who graduated from the Universidad de La Frontera has the skills to evaluate the nutritional situation and status of the population, as well as to advise institutional food services. The training allows the graduate to work in dietetic care and diet therapy for different age groups and people with different physiological characteristics, as well as to promote healthy eating.
The graduate also has the skills to lead policies and programs in the field of food and nutrition, at the local, regional, and national level.

Program Information
Comprehensive scientific training that considers clinical knowledge and skills to diagnose patients, plan their examination and treatment, solve prevalent pathologies and non-derivable emergencies, and treat the most complex pathologies. The graduates are professionals with solid knowledge of health and disease processes in human beings, taking into account the patient’s social, biological, cultural, and psychological background.
Occupational field
A Physician and Surgeon, graduated from the Universidad de La Frontera, is able to perform in different settings, such as hospitals and ambulatory care facilities, either in health services or private institutions. A Phonoaudiologist, trained at the Universidad de La Frontera, is a professional with a solid scientific, humanistic, technological, ethical, and moral training. The graduate’s skills allow him/her to evaluate, diagnose, investigate, intervene, and prevent alterations in oral communication of people at any stage of live, considering the context of the family, community, and cultural aspects. He/She is ethically and socially responsible and therefore demonstrates a reflexive attitude of continuous learning, leadership, the capacity of management and research, and being able to generate new knowledge in the field, in order to contribute to the improvement of health and quality of life with his/her actions.

A Phonoaudiologist who graduated from the Universidad de La Frontera is qualified to work in:
• Public and private health: being part of teams in the specialties of otorhinolaryngology, audiology, neurology, pediatrics, dentistry, craniofacial malformations, physical medicine and rehabilitation, psychiatry, etc.;
